Hey all,

So i'm trying to figure out the best colour scheme for Emperor's Children. I've seen a lot of talk about white primer, but the one time I've used the spray so far it cracked on the model and so I'm kind of paranoid as to the same happening again and I'd rather stick with black.

I'm wondering;

1) Can you use Ceramite White as a primer?

2) Is Screamer Pink very dark over black?

I'm debating whether to do basecoat Abaddon, and then highlight Xereus, Screamer, then Emperor's Children and have him be a black-armoured (but still fabulous) EC, but not sure if that works fluff-wise, or whether I should just go for Screamer over Black (avoiding the recesses) and EC to highlight?

All advice welcome!

I use Screamer Pink over black all the time. A Darker Pink is ok for chaos marines. I never liked Hello Kitty Pink Emp Children. Anyways the 30K Emp Children were more Purple than Pink, Pink would be for 40K Chaos Emp Children.

Pink Highlighted black is more a Black Legion Slanneshi thing than pure Emp Children.

You're totally right, I think the purple does work a lot better. I've basecoated in Xereus Purple, and then painted all but the recesses in Screamer (trying to blend a little) and then highlighted in Emperor's Children. I'm using some of the new tentacle-touched Death Guard arms, and the purple to pink to EC works great on making them look Slaanfleshy.

Thanks for the advice!
