I think most people that use him currently, convert their own. Do a Google image search, you'll see plenty of ideas.

Yeah. Was a nice model back in its day, but became obsolete when GW redid Terminators in plastic.

I converted my own after waiting one too many years for an updated model from GW.

You'd think GW would want the Chaos big bad to have a somewhat up to date miniature, can't even imagine how tiny he looks next to Guilliman

You'd think. I actually thought, and you know how it usually goes, I just finished my conversion, a couple of weeks later GW announces the 13th Black Crusade and later the fall of Cadia. Hmm, who oh who might be the protagonist of that?

I soon enough realized that I gave GW too much credit. Of course they would skip the whole Black Crusade part and fast forward to waking Girlyman and then fast forward even further to when Girlyman gloriously got to start a crusade and retake the galaxy. Who needs Abaddon anyway when you can have Primarchs...

Oh well. I got my miniature. Won't affect me if GW takes another twenty years, but it's a shame for my fellow Black Legion players who are still waiting, to be sure.

Nice model, but far too big to be used on a tabletop game isn't it? It looks Mortarion sized.

Okay, but how old is Abigail's sculpt again? I'm pretty sure it's as old as I am.

Abaddon isn't 20 feet tall.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Neither is their version intended for gameplay.

Also, isn’t Abbadon a clone of Horus? (By Huron, if I remember rightly) If they’ve retconned the likes of Gulliman to be so huge now, no reason not to embiggen ol’ Armless. Also, as others have pointed out, I accidentally linked to the collector’s edition, which is much larger apparently than the gameplay version they have.

Then I'm literally only 4 years older than the model itself.

So yeah it's an old sculpt. Make your own if you want to, but I'm like 90% sure we are getting a new one this year aren't we?

You'd think. Started out well enough with Kharn, Ahriman and Typhus. But there's nothing to say that Abby is next. Could be Lucius or Fabius, and considering I buy into the Slaanesh rumors a lot more than that sole Abaddon rumor (that I know of - wasn't that BOLS or Spiky Bits, too? If so there's no reason to believe it whatsoever), I'm not sure I'd put any money on Abaddon getting a new sculpt soon.

I thought one of the reliable rumormongers said we were getting a new Abigail this year. Huh.

I think we could use a new Lucius though that's for sure.

I may misremember or maybe we've read different ones. I just know for sure that when I read the rumor, I filed it under "not likely", which is why I have no recollection of any specifics other than Abby, end of year.

No. He's big for a space marine, but not a clone. He served as one of Horus' foremost captains during the Heresy, so it's completely impossible that anyone in the 40K universe was involved in cloning him in any way.

There is a storyline about Horus being cloned, but nothing to do with the result being Abaddon, neither is it especially a retcon for Primarchs to be larger than Space Marines.

I believe it was Abaddon who killed all the clones, and set Fabius Bile on to other tasks to keep him out of trouble.

I couldnever figure out why we didnt see a new Abaddon during the Gathering Storm - his biggest triumph and nothing. Also, whats he been doing since then - do we know? The Indominus crusade whnt for 100 years. Did Abaddon just sit the whole thing out after splitting the galaxy in two?

I'm with others, I hope the rumors of an Abaddon campaign comes with a new model release (and maybe a few Black Legion exclusive units). The old abby model sucks anymore, lol.

You can certainly convert your own! Would take parts from a lot of kits to make a great one I feel, but its doable

All of the FW primarchs are huge. Millennia of chaos influence is a decent excuse for Abbadon getting a bit bigger but he isn't a clone, just big for a marine.

In the 2nd edition chaos codex it was stated that Abby favored Horus so much it was rumored he was a “gene-son” iirc...

Yes, but in the old fluff Primarchs were not stupidly large.
