The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Yup, yup
Looks interesting. Different to how I always pictured the characters, but in a good way.
Same here. I felt the book was a bit more serious but the trailer looks fun. They seem to be more on the bumbling idiots side of the spectrum so that should make the plan that goes hilariously wrong thing even better.

All six hour-long episodes of the series are set to be released on Amazon Prime Video globally on Friday 31st May 2019.
According to Gaiman it will then air weekly on BBC2 in the UK around six months later (as it is a co-production between Amazon and the BBC).

Not "The Omen" more of end times in general, and the 2 luckless angel/demon who want to prevent it to keep their cushy gig here on Earth and not have to go home

I think you can get the BBC produced audiobook for Good Omens on Youtube still. I've read the book a few times and the audiobook from BBC is pretty damn good too. Hopefully the show will be like the audiobook.
The audiobook (i.e. a reading of the novel) or the radio play (i.e. a dramatization based on the novel, but with its own script and cast)? If it's the latter, that's very good.
There're a lot of well-known people in that version.
Neil G's and Sir Terry's stuff seems to attract a few big-ish names. Who wouldn't want Darth Maul's voice for a demon?

I wouldn't. Darth Maul had a single line. He was a stunt guy who had the right choreography for the light saber dance routines in phantom menace, he isn't a voice actor.

Yeah, not him. Maul's voice actor, Peter Serafinowicz was Crowley in a radio version of Good Omens.
Ray Park did other stuff.
I should have phrased that differently.
I am looking forward to the new version though.
There is talk in an interview that they have shoe-horned in a lot of what would have been a sequel.
So, for anyone who knows the book, we should expect extra bits. Think of what they did with The Hobbit movies We will find out soon.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal
As the voice of "the creator" aka "Dad" narrating the episode. I'd be surprised if he didn't show up in this somewhere - even if only as a disembodied voice.
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Daughter is a big fan of the writer. This should be fun.

I bought the book so I could read it before the show and I didn't think that much of it compared to Discworld (I don't really have any other Gaiman experience) but I do see it as the kind of tale that could make an fun ride of a show, and they've certainly lined up enough big names.
The only downside is Jack Whitehall, can't stand the guy. Hopefully the role is minimalised.
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”
