Game 1 is here and Game 2 is here.

Game 3
Time for my final game of the day!

This was against Jimmy's Necrons. I haven't played against Necrons since maybe early 6th edition, so I was excited to try my hand against them again. The silo in the middle with the die on it is the central objective.

He also seized on me, so he got first turn!

His whole army moved up and with some canny tilting of my Ions and tree cover, I was able to protect Redemption from almost all of his shooting. Auric Might took a hit or two but kept on truckin before my force fired back. I killed both Heavy Destroyers, one regular Destroyer, damaged some Necron infantry units as well as the Night Scythe.

Melee saw the Auric Might do even more damage to the Warriors, but he made some great saves on them.

While a few got back up, their fate was sealed

Finishing off the Warriors let me focus down the other block of Warriors, while the strategem that lets a Helverin reroll misses against units with Fly meant that the Necron Croissant was truly toasted.

At the bottom of turn 2 we called it, as only the Necron characters were left on the board, and I'd only taken a few wounds here and there.

I had controlled the objective for all two turns we played, and we counted a third turn worth of points as I would have needed to play one more turn to kill his two lords, netting me 6 victory points for a House Lakar victory! We decided I shouldn't get the points for holding it on turns 4 and 5, as this was a "friendly" event and tabling your opponents shouldn't be rewarded. I was completely down with this ruling, even if it meant I came in second place overall - damn those Orks killing the VIP in round 2!
