I'm rebuilding my Imperial Navy Security Squadron, and have new models up to be named. Following ranks are available. Veteran Sergeant-at-Arms, Technical Sergeant-at-Arms, Staff Sergeant-at-Arms, Sergeant-at-Arms, Petty Officer, Senior Armsmen/Airmen/Voidsmen, Armsmen/Airmen/Voidsmen 1st class, Armsmen/Airmen/Voidsmen. Please reply with chosen rank and last name of trooper, and some fluff if you'd like.

Example: Ensign Zekke, prior phantine skyborne, prefers long guns better than pistols or melee.

Airmen are navy ratings who service the Valks/vendettas/Vulture.

Voidsmen serve as boarding parties during orbital combat.

Armsmen are the law enforcement/security troops, bulk of the 777th, airdrop to secure critical terrain for Imperial Navy, until relived by Imperial Guard.

VSgtAA are company commanders
SSgtAA are platoon commanders
TSgtAA are vehicle drivers, commanders, valk navigators
SgtAA lead 10 men groups of armsmen
Petty Officers lead groups of naval ratings other than armsmen

Very interesting, I'll have try and come up with something. Out of curiosity, would they be tied to a specific ship or be transferred around based on campaigns?

The Majestic class Escort Carrier HDMS True Unto Death, Hanger Theta is the berth of the 777th NSS. It is part of the Retribution Escort Squadron, BattleFleet Pacificus. Members of the 777th stay in the unit and on the ship until death or end of service. The Escort Squadron consist of a Sword Frigate (HDMS Crimson Debt), two Cobra Destroyers (HDMS Pious Pike, HDMS Divine Valor) and the small escort carrier.

I'll try writing something for the airmen.

Born to one of the families that live within the ship's bowels, she starts at the bottom. She works her way up to her position through experience, sharp instincts and a close relationship with admech aboard the ship.

Not sure if this would better fit senior airmen for airmen 1st class.

Sounds like a great Senior Airmen, the 777th has 3 current tech priests. Thanks for the fluff, ill add it in.

Jonan Stern

Senior Airmen

Jonan Stern is an odd woman, paradoxically seeming to be both plainly common and yet strangely unique. Being born and raised on the True Unto Death, Jonan originates from the most basic stock. The name Stern is not some flamboyant statement of mettle, but rather refers to her family’s residings within the ship. There are many Sterns on such a vast vessel, whose genealogy stretches back millenia.

Jonan has lived and worked flight decks her entire life, moving and loading fuel, ammo, machinery and anything else a void-worthy ship might need. Though rare, but not unheard of, Jonan showed enough mechanical aptitude to work on the vehicle themselves. What made the ship born woman stand out was her affinity for these machines. She had entire conversations with these vehicles; calming platitudes for a cargo vessel or harsh cajoling for the gunships. Every servitor was met with a please and a thank you. Such behaviour drew the attention of the techpriests and enginseers of the flight deck, warming to her presence. Though never officially brought into the cult mechanicum, Jonan still managed to pry a few secrets working beside a few of the more open members.

Her nearly fifty years of veterancy and experience as well as her close relationship with the admech has allowed Jonan Stern to climb to the position of senior airmen. A devoted crewmen motivated by her love for the ship she calls home and the machines that fight for her.

That's awesome, due to her affinity to the machine spirit, she'll join the Master Chief Petty Officer and other elite airmen who go planetside and look for supplies and recruits on bike. Would you like her to have a breaching ram (hunting lance) or Flamer? As a count-as rough rider she also gets a Las pistol and your choice of a melee weapon (ccw). Great fluff, and there is a perfect spot for her, thanks for the add!

I guess I'll go with the breaching ram. As for the melee weapon, since she is mechanically inclined, perhaps a bionic limb with a built in las cutter. Good for welding, cutting and messing up anyone who gets too close.

Midshipman Larr "Padre" Kozzak, acting Squadron commander of the 777th Naval Support Squadron, under the command of Ensign Zak Zekke, Wing Commander of the 777th Naval Security Wing attached to HDMS True Unto Death. As a wounded thunderbolt pilot unable to fly he serves as the CAG for the 777th, and sometimes "jumps" (thus the grav-chute and helmet) with the unit on major battles to provide liaison with other Naval Units.

Petty Officer Barbary de Bissy : Born of nobility and every inch a man of proud noble bearing the youngest son of one of the ship's most prestigious lineages is determined to earn both respect and renown. His devil-may-care antics and high spirited bravado have already earned the young rake a reputation for recklessness but there are many who see great potential in him if only be survives his youthful follies.
De Bissy is an accomplished fencer and a crack shot (with either hand) with a laspistol as (rumour has it) more than a few dead noble sons aboard the HDMS True unto Death can attest. Dualling is of course strictly prohibited.

Voidsman1st class Anto Karanos. Born on the planet Coranor, a world known for it's vast orbital naval base. The people of Coranor are known in the local system of Taranton as being highly adept starship crews.

. Those not linked directly to the navy tend to find work in heavy industry,or, paradoxically, agriculture. For although Coranor is indeed a primarily industrial world, it retains a wide variety of biospheres and climates. Surprisingly, there also remain a number of large, virgin wildernesses and forests.

. Karanos was born into a traditionally naval family; his being admitted to the navy was never in doubt. A man of few words, he is known to his crewmates as "tiny", on account of his large build and tough appearance. Karanos is a boarding torpedo / assault ram pilot, and enjoys his role immensely. He relishes the point of impact, where he feels as though he has literally struck a blow for the imperium.
