I think I want to get two of the new Raicho, since I've always wanted to try a 2 Raicho list. However, I don't want to run two identical models. So I'm thinking about some options:

1. Replace the arms with the arms from the old Raicho. I doubt this will work, but I'll at least see what it looks like. The benefit (I think) is that the old grenade launcher can easily stand in for the HSG or Mine Launcher. The downside (besides likely looking out of place) is that the gun is in the wrong hand.

2. Convert the new Raicho into a different pose. I'm not sure how possible this will be. What I'd like it to have the model in a two handed firing pose, but would require major repositioning of the left arm and some less major repositioning of the right, as well as probably re-sculpting the right hand and modifying the gun. Additionally I'd want to remove the Skull and pelt (and possibly place them somewhere else on the model), and that would require resculpting most of the left arm. All of this is way beyond my skills.

3. Commission someone to sculpt a new set of arms that can be 3D printed. This is a pretty attractive option, since I think it would likely result in the best looking model. But unfortunately I don't know any 3D sculptors. This also might be fairly expensive (since I wouldn't want to underpay the sculptor). A solution might be to find a few people interested in alternate arms, pool resources to commission a sculptor. Are there any 3D sculptors here who might be interested in this commission? I can provide sketches for what I have in mind.

Thoughts? Other ideas?

I am thinking of shoulder mounting the gun on the left shoulder.

I am also planning on press molding the right arm shield and shoulder guard and then putting one or the other on the right shoulder after removing the skull. I don't think the pelt can be fully removed but I'd like the skull gone.

Then I'd probably give it a mane again.

A shoulder mounted gun could be very cool. I was thinking of re- purposing the old HGL as a shoulder mounted Mine Launcher.

I haven't seen the model in person yet, but I agree its probably impossible to remove the pelt and still have a useable arm. Extensive re-sculpting would probably be needed, and thats just way beyond my skills. I actually don't mind the pelt and skull too much, I just don't want two Raicho's with the same pelt and skill in the exact same place.
