Hey warhammer gamers,
i was looking through my figures the other day, and stumbled upon some Limited figure packs, and i was wondering what these would be worth.

(Sorry for the abnormally large pictures ;D )

I bought these back in the days, when i was out competing in wh40. I believe they hadnt reached any sales yet at that point, and i saw the person sign the boosters for me.

He's OOP and a pretty nice model, but I'm not sure the signature will boost the value at all, since if you want to keep the sig you have to keep the model in the blister, the opposite reason most people buy these figs for.

Speaking as someone who is recently selling off lots of their older metal stuff my impression is that metal isn't a good seller these days. (at least for GW products) People generally don't want it. So even limited characters and such aren't bringing the value you would think if they are in metal.

Speaking as someone who posts a ton of stuff every day, Metal sells pretty well depending on the item.

Really? Where are you selling? Just a month or so ago I sold 4 blisters of dark eldar mandrakes for a whole $10 on feebay. Just so we are clear, that's $10 for ALL FOUR blisters, not each. 8 nib metal minis for $10 minus fees. I just gave up on selling the rest because it wasn't worth the effort to see them go for just a few bucks.

Well there is your problem. People didn't want metal Dark Eldar even before the 2010 revamp when those hideously ugly figures were the only options available for DE.

Regarding the OP, I'll offer the counter opinion that the signed blister packs may be worth significantly more money to the right collector. Regular vintage model collectors aren't necessarily the target audience, but rather GW collectors and fans of all aspects of the GW hobby. Since these are signed you aren't really selling to someone who wants just the model, but rather you are selling to a collector who will appreciate the story/connection between the signed blister pack and the model itself. Play up who signed these blister packs and what the significance of that signature is and you will have established a potentially sought after collectible that is desirable.

Dakka, Bartertown, Ordo, Facebook (30+ groups), eBay, etc.

I didn't say all metal sold; I said metal sold. I think DT covered why you didn't get much.

While I agree, I think the amount of time and effort involved in finding that collector will drain a lot of the profit.

Maybe try Middlehammer Outpost on facebook as a good starting point.
