Those are a great combination of the van saar and tau kits. Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing them painted.

These are phenomenal. The Van Saar kit is hands down one of the best kits GW has put out.

Thought I'd bash together a Thunder Warrior from the plastic bits I had lying about after reading the small piece of fluff surrounding the Cerberus Insurrection.

I imagine this is him in very much in the prototype pieces of what leads to subsequent Crusade & Iron armour marks.

A warrior of no greater distinction than his peers, Odhrak stained his ramshackle armour with the blood of many across Terra. His conduct earned many titles of which "Hammerhand" came to define him, no less for the crude cybernetic hammer replacement for his left arm. His last title would be "Dog Bleeder", bitterly gained within the tunnels beneath Cerberus in the skant remaining hours of that ill fated uprising.

So I decided to take some better pictures (rather than using my gubbed phone camera) of the Thunder Warrior that I created last night and his pal I made today.





I'm kind of tempted to create more Thunder Warriors/Techno Barbarians and just make this a Unifcation Wars era kitbashing blog.

Finished up the third barbarian today. Two hammers because why not? Figured removing the bolter made him feel a little less like a space marine although it is a tad small I figure using a human rifle like a pistol isn't too bad of a compromise. Might see if any Goliath weapons work better. Gave the leader a "Rivet rig" the idea being that this would have once been used to repair things but it's far too effective at impaling humans.
