Hi there,
as stated in the topic subject I am looking medical personnel in 28mm 1/56th scale. I have looked all around the net but have found nothing suitable.
Notably Doctors, surgeons which I need for a forward fire base. For my project I am working on:
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/761655.page

I know anvil has something along those lines though not exactly what I am looking for
http://anvilindustry.co.uk/AFTERLIFE/The-Technician

I would be glad if any of you have some ideas and links for "sensible / realistic" miniatures which don not look to cartoony

Thanks in advance

That's quite a tricky one, medics as in a trooper with a bag of supplies is easy enough as there are tons of historical kits like that. Forgeworld have a medical servitor as part of;
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Death-Korps-of-Krieg-Quartermaster-and-Retinue-2017

There are lots of civies that could count as medical personnel (I would look at Reaper, Hasslefree, Heresy etc.), could you come any more specific? Needing to be in armour? Surgical gowns? With tools? etc.

Hi thanks for your ideas but as I mentioned I am looking for "sensible / realistic" miniatures which don not look to cartoony and those are rather unrealistic.

@ingtaer
something a long the lines of anvil as I posted in the link. No armour and not mechanical more human just like a field doctor from today, surgical gowns would be perfect, tools are not a must but if they look realistic.

Could not find anything by Heresy, had not thought of Reaper though. Will have a look there right away

" there are tons of historical kits" there are ? can you post me some links, I could not find any

That's all I have time for at the minute, might be something of use. If you like the look of any of the medics in multi packs it is worth contacting the company to buy one separately as most people will sell like that. Reaper is probably your best bet though.

Mantic has scientists in hazmat suits that might work for you:

It's been a good while since I saw the Space Nazis from your blog in person, but aren't they a little bigger than 1/56? I thought they were taller (32mm rather than 28mm). In which case you might find Diana from Warzone (by Prodos) useful. She's a 35mm model, though, and might look too tall if you models are genuine 1/56.

Or they might take your money and not deliver a damn thing.

I wouldn't order from Hasslefree at the moment, is all I'm saying.

@Geifer,
thanks those 2 are really good, now how do I only get those two or 6 of those 2 ??
Shame really as I have no use for the rest of the miniatures.

Yes they are slightly larger but they are not as bulky and thin in appearance as most 35mm miniatures which means that 28mm miniatures heads and bits suit them better. For instance Imperial Guard heads are far to big for them, they look like melon heads

It says 1/56 on the box if they are genuine1/56 or not I have no idea, I know Anvil miniatures bits/ heads fit great.

Yep, I have the same problem. It's unfortunate that the cool scientists are bundled with the other guys. At least the security guys at the bottom seem ok. But that still only five out of twelve that are of use to me.

Looks like you're looking for something quite specific, which, I would widen the cast to whoever can be cut up and made into medical staff with liberal use of green stuff and parts scavenged/scalpled off elsewhere. Which may be a relatively expensive project.
Preliminary search on google images of FOB medical personnel reveals medical staff in military fatigues and T-shirts. So I suspect it might all be in actions/placement and props rather than the figures.

How many personnel were you looking for?

Indeed it might have to be a conversion job.
But I have now settled for a few miniatures form Anvil which I will try out.
Originally I wanted about 4-6 personnel, two doctors and the rest suitably clothed nurses.

Is there any enviromental NBC hazards in the enviroment? if So you could get away with Anvil Industry respirator heads on torsos+ limbs covered with putty sculpted to look like an oversuit like. This is the feel I was thinking .[img]

If it is an expeditionary force with limited manpower it might make sense that they're over-cautious when dealing with an irradiated enviroment and god knows what chemical and biological agents maybe out there. (especially with trained medical staff)

It might also make sense that if the doctors are equipped and able to carry out autopsies of enemy combatants and possibly genetically modified creatures that they may come, across to provide intel, depending on the purpose the force was sent there in the first place.

The Anvil Industry figures should be a bit chunkier than your infantry, but people in NBC oversuits are quite chunky looking.

Personally what I would do for is get the fatigue legs (knee protectors for wear and tear in the field) or militia legs from Anvil Industry and use a hobby knife to trim most the detail off and use green stuff to detail/fill around the boots. (Smooth, no laces for contaminant to be trapped in)

Fatigue torso looks about right, just add air filter.
Beef up ends of sleeves and give repirator head a greenstuff hood.

Or brutalise a poor eisenkern trooper with scalpel and file. Trim armour off. Add putty where required if you wanted sleek uniforms like the troops must wear under their armour.

Know this page is a bit old and you've probably seen it but Anvil Industry has now come out with NBC suits that would suit the non combatant part of your force quite well. Also have released robots and drones that may come in handy.

Lots of Doctors.here

Also with all 9f the Companions.in there you can probably find a decent non combat type for any roles.you need.
