These guys are, essentially, an exercise in speedpainting to a standard I can live with that won't make me tear my hair out over painting 50+ infantry figures.

Thanks all! Credit for the color palette and the idea of mixing up the colors per-model has to go to a fellow by the handle of 'Mika', who about ten years ago did some Renegade Militia that really stuck in my memory when it came to do these.

I'm really enjoying the mix of colors, since combined with the variety of sculpts and parts it gives them some great individuality while still looking like a coherent (albeit rag-tag) force.

I'm planning to field an army of these as counts-as Catachan-doctrine Astra Militarum, since the Renegades & Heretics list is borderline-unplayable at the moment. The converted officer is a counts-as Straken.
