Like the title. I can’t find it and people are arguing

p3 of the free version on the gw site under battlerounds:

At the start of each battle round, the
players must roll off, and the winner
decides who takes the first turn. If the
roll-off is a tie, then the player who
went first in the last battle round can
choose who goes first in this one, but
if it is the first battle round, the player
that finished setting up their army
first chooses who has the first turn

Thank you!

Not even in the rule books....Wow! That's terrible on GWs part.

It is in the rulebook. Terrible on your part for not looking for it.

The entire core rules can be found in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar Core Book starting on page page 226 (The Core Rules)

Another victim of not owning the core book and just going off of the GHB perhaps?

Oh hey, I think I’ve been playing this wrong. The person who finished deploying first only goes first if you tie the rolloff on the first turn? I mean other than winning the roll of course. We’d kind of gotten it in our heads here that the person who finishes deploying first always went first on the first turn.

I think you misread the rule. The person who finishes deploying first always chooses who gets first turn.

that finished setting up their army
first chooses who has the first turn

But that’s part of the sentence about what you do if it’s a tie. If it’s a tie, the person who went first before gets to choose. Since on the first turn there is no pervious who went first, it’s who finished deploying first.

If all else fails, just check the FAQs! First deployed always goes first. That is a horribly written rule though.

AduroT didn't misread the rule, GW miswrote the rule.

Yeah that caused quite a few arguments until the faq was released.

For those who doubt.... I own all the books and four people were hunting for it for 20 minutes last night in all their books too. Why else would I ask which book and what page if I didn't have the books?

Guess we had blurry vision from being hungry.
