Legions is not my first 40k phone game, but it is the first I wish more people played. It is a good game, really well made, I was quite surprised because 40k games are often rushed by low budget companies.
It feels and looks like hearthstone, but with a good 40k skin / background and well thought specifities.
I think you should give it a go, it is free you have nothing to loose !

I played it for a week or so, but the grind just became too much for me to keep bothering with. It needs a bigger time commitment than I can give it.

The newer cards that they come out with seem to be overpowering the old cards, the balancing is off by a mile, love the gameplay though

Yea, playing against Salamanders is just an exercise in frustration. There's also the broken combo of Nathanial Garro and Deathshroud Terminators.

Yeah, salamanders are OP, but new legions keep being fleshed out, like Raven Guard right now. It is pretty nice as it renews the game

Anyone still playing this game ? I eventually came back to it and surprisingly enough it still is full of players and new legions are STILL getting fleshed out

I give it a go every few weeks - still using an Irons Hands deck. Every Lodge I've joined has fallen apart so just going solo.

I've heard that the commanders / Primarchs are only solds once a year ? Is that true ?

Nope. There's a lot of them now so it can take a while for certain ones to cycle round, and some are cash only / VIP only when they're first released. Right now I'm seeing Saul Tarvitz & Fabius Bile in the normal Shop, Agapoto Nev in the VIP Shop and Saul Tarvitz (plus deck), Vincente Sixx (plus deck) & Meors (plus deck) in the Cash Shop ($9.99 each).

I switched to a very aggressive World Eater deck and I must say it works pretty well. I heard afterwards it was very meta though so there is that.
What are you guys playing ? I'm interested by Thousand Sons, they are a bit different
