With the release of the SW vs GSC the orks still have a release coming. Many people are speculating that they may be pit against the Black Legion. Truthfully would GW do this? I can't see them making a box set with no imperium faction. Forgebane was the first one that didn't have marines but it still had it's imperium faction in it. Can anyone point to evidence suggesting they would do this?

I'm from the future. The future of space

Anything is possible given enough time, but I think we'll see a similar time between Tooth & Claw and Forgebane and Tooth & Claw and the next similar set.

I hope they break from these starter set like things and do something more like Malign Portents but for 40k. If it's Ork related, then that can culminate with a new Thraka kit. If it's Black Legion related, it can have a new Abaddon or something. A new kit of chaos marines, khorne berzerkers and so on would be cool. Chaos Primaris?

I really have no idea what factions things will be. I think we'll see a Slaanesh release before any Black Legion stuff though.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Tooth & Claw appears to be part of a larger story that also includes Orks. I suppose it's possible that Chaos gets involved in that conflict too given the planet's location but I think it's more likely that the Waaagh will put a kink in the Imperium's plan to deal with the GSC incursion.

given the Ork speed freaks kit we've been seeing I'd put the odds of a Ork vs BL kit anytime soon as "near nil." more likely IMHO is that space wolves fight genestealer cults. Orks play outside with their races, Space Wolves begin to finish up genesteler cults and then the black Legion arrives to curb stomp EVERYONE, the black legion showing up is what launches their next big campaign event ala Fate of Kronor, where you have Orks, Tyranids (and their GSC allies) the Imperium, and chaos all battling it out for control of the world, (eldar and Tau are in the same "spoiler" role all xenos where at Fate of Kronor)

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
