Morning folks:
https://www.facebook.com/TheDiceBagLady/posts/1768632833184793
As a follow-up to two really neat Kickstarters for the Ghosts of Gaia, post- apoc female minis, BSG have just released a set of three "leader" figs. They're like evolutions of some of the characters from the KS.
Note, this is not a KS but a retail release. Having painted up a few of the KS models, they're really nice and characterful.

And a proper link to her webstore, as some folks get a bit uppity about being linked to Facebook: https://badsquiddogames.com/shop#!/Gaia-Bosses-3/p/113301828/category=23347141

Their concepts are nice but I don't like the sculpts from the Ghosts of Gaia stuff. The poses, faces, anatomy, details etc are all very old school, but don't feel up to par even compared to 30+ year old GW metals. I wish they got a different sculptor to do some more post-apoc models.

They are a bit stiff, but I like the different vibe you get from them. The top figure is pretty cool.

Those are some pretty bad sculpts.

The head to body ratio of 1:4 does not appeal to me. Right between ”heroic scale” and chibi. Concepts are cool though.

I feel the same way. Good concepts, mediocre execution.
So is Bad Squiddo caught up on all their order fulfillment? Their shipping dropped to almost nothing for a chunk of the year due to a home/office move and the owner getting sick.

Yep. The last KS is still being shipped but regular retail business is up to date.

It did take a good while for orders to get fulfilled (my February order did not get posted until last month IIRC), but people are kept in the loop pretty well via social media and newsletters. My second order was shipped much, much more timely, so things are more or less back to their old productive self.
