Hello everyone, after about a 5 year hiatus I have found myself expressing interest in the 40k hobby and game again. I even remembered my old account on this forum when I used to post fairly regularly! Since my last 40k purchace I have kept half an eye on GW and new releases and black library books but allot seems to have happened in the last few years. Ive not been able to keep up with the HH book series, they seem to keep churning those out!
I got pretty heavily involved with Infinity during my time away from 40k but with the release of Kill Team it looks like I might have a way back into the hobby. I can barely stand to look at the painting on my old 40k models now after getting used to painting the tiny details on the CB models!
I was a bit disapointed to see GW dropped the WHFB range as I had just started to get interested in starting a fantasy army after playing Warhammer Total War, a sentiment im sure many others share. At least GW seems to be doing allot more these days to interest the community with all these new/remade specialist games. Here's hoping they bring back battlefleet gothic at some stage with new models!

Anyway it looks as if the 40k rules have changed pretty heavily since I last played properly back in 5th ed. I have allot of questions, most notably being how the detachment system and CP rules work (they are completely new concepts to me). Not sure if this is the best place to ask for a general clarification on that but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I look forward to jumping back in!

And heaven forbid if the Marine would also happen to have an intimidating looking, vertical scar. Then you're surly boned. Those guys are the worst. Not a chance I'd say.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
