So I've been scoping this out here, this specific set: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Sector-Imperialis-Sanctum-2018

Has anyone gotten a significant amount of this stuff? I haven't put any of it together, I didn't get the Kill Team box.

I'm just curious as to how much is in there, in this specific box in terms of making a table with lots of it- specifically, how many of these kits should I buy if I wanted to cover most of a standard 6x4 table with some of it- enough to have buildings for infantry to take cover in, with a few having multiple levels- and obviously have plenty of room for things like Knights and Land Raiders and Baneblades to manuever to a decent degree.

How many boxes would you buy, within reason?

What you see in the pictures is pretty much what is in the box.

Filling a 6x4' board with potentially multi story ruins you are going to need loads. I'm not gonna sugar coat it. I would say at least two or even three kits per 2x2' area, so we are talking 10-12 kits minimum.

Isn't it cheaper to buy 3-4 kill team boxes. and gives you a little variety too....?

Kill Team includes a Basilicanum (sans statues) and a set of Ruins (ruined wall stuff). It's a good deal for just the terrain, and you can sell the rulebook and the minis for like $10-20 a piece to make it a great deal.

Oof. Well, it was hard to get a gauge of how much I could build with those kits based on a picture with one Primaris Marine.

I'm thinking I may just have to make four larger buildings and stick some Sector Mechanicus terrain in there as well (I have quite a bit laying around).

I'm not talking about making a very tight urban landscape- just a few buildings and some places for guys to snipe from, move to cover, stuff like that.

GW sell a 6x4 sector imperialis realm of battle board with this much terrain included:

1 x Impirialis Basilicanum kit
2 x Impirialis Sanctum kits
2 x Impirialis Administratum kits
3 x Impirialis Ruins kits

And looking at it it seems it will do the job but obviously depending on build the milage will vary...

Honestly going by the image with the marine. it looks to be something like 12 x 10"

one of those per 2x2' with a smattering of scatter terrain would should or could be good enough honestly.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed to see there wasn't a measurement of one of the constructed buildings.

I'm thinking you're spot on, because I still need room for tanks, knights, etc.
