Hello Dakka, I've been floating around different Kill Team ideas until I had a random stroke of inspiration to use house Van Saar models as an Inquisitional assassin warband. With some help from the awesome people in the Painting&Modelling, I got it underway and here's my first finished dude, Skolov.

Let me know what you think

Very cool! Nice use of the Necron head for that faceless agent look.

Wow - awesome work, and I think this is the first conversion of a van saar that improves on the original kit

Baron, don't forget to talk about the SEALs and Marines you habitually beat up on 2 and 3 at a time, as you PM'd me about.

Perhaps it is a lube issue, seems obvious now.

Love it! the skullface and scrolls really bring back some of the grimdark that I think the van sar models are missing (they look more like infinity models than 40k models, aesthetically)

Vaguely reminds me of the culexus assassin.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Thanks so much for all the kind words, I really appreciate it. I've been having a lot of fun with these guys, chucking random bits on the helmets to give them that 80's vibe and painting them has been a quick and fun job too so far. Here's 3 more members!

Oohhh I had a very similar idea myself. Your head conversions look really cool. I was thinking I'd make a small squad of acolytes to support my Eisenhorn and run them with Scion stats in kill team. Artel W has good proxies for Fischig, Bequin, and Aemos, and Cherubael, too.
