Brand new to war gaming. Been a scale modeler for years and just recently started in with miniatures. Figure I might as well play as well.

40k Death Guard and Renegade knights have my attention at the moment but I also picked up Adeptus Titanicus as well.

I live in the grand metropolis of Mabank, TX about 60 miles SE of Dallas so there is of course a vast war gaming community in this little town..ok maybe not

Anyways just wanted to say hello.

Welcome to DakkaDakka.

Sounds like a similar history I had: Played "Epic 40k" and started off with Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines were my first army way back in 2nd edition, I usually put together aircraft at first: WW2 to present.

I just got most of a Titan together recently, the fit on those models are quite good.

I am putting finishing touches on an Imperial Knight and strongly recommend magnets for weapon joins.
Unless you get very creative you will have to make a choice between the two main guns on the model.

There are a ton of 40k experience model builders and painters here, many are commission painters who seem quite willing to share their knowledge.
I hope the hobby goes well for you, 8th edition in 40k has revitalized the game a fair bit so now is a great time to get into the game.

Again, welcome!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
