Have a look at my P&M blog - currently working on Sons of Horus

The models really are very good ... the mold lines are tricky to detect sometimes because of the colored plastic but I am pleased what I am able to do with these "smaller models" compared to Custodes and Primarchs I normally paint

after taking the picture of the High Sparow I realized that I forgot the seond drybrush of the base ... that is why it looks more flat than the other bases

Really like these, lovely paintwork. Really interested to see more figures from the ASOIAF game, hope you keep posting if you do more of them!

Great work, a bit bright for ASOIAF IMO, but really well and clean executed!

Definitely brighter than GoT TV series, but thankfully the books leave enough room for interpretation

I'm not familiar with the full model range from that game yet, but the bastard is the only figure I really like so far. I'm not speaking of your paintwork, it's great!

There is a reason I picked this model so early. Stay tuned so maybe some more stuff may be to your liking. And thx for the praise

Great paintwork! I like the mountains man the best. The weathering on his amor looks really good.
I really regret not backing this KS.

Very nice. Is that "TL" on Tyrion's chest a transfer or freehand?

I am pretty bad at doing freehand, so I borrowed these letters from the FW Imperial Fists transfer sheet

Well they look great, I couldn't tell they were transfers at all!

I must admit, this is really great job out here. Good contrasting colours and shading, nice clean painted. The only weaker model, at least for me, is the Theon "Reek", too heavy washed, but it's just my opinion. Great job mate.

Thx for the praise. As you state, normally I have a clean painting style, but with some of these models I try to work quickly and Reek was one of them. He should come across dirty - that is why I went with the heavy shade and drybrush.

That's what I thought after I wrote a comment. He should look dirty.
It's good to experiment with painting and techniques. I really enjoy your works, waiting for more

Hi,

your painted minis made me buy the ASOIAF box. I just love the minis and your paintjob.

Your metal looks great especially the stark soldier helmets and the breastplate of on of the mountains man. It does look very realistic. Could you describe how you did the worn metal effect?

Thanks man ... great to hear I inspired someone to buy the Starter Box. Regarding the metal effects - I use GW colors. Typical its Leadbelcher which is washed with Nuln Oil. In case of the Mountains Man it could be the case I washed the metal twice to make it look even darker. Then you can brighten up larger sirfaces with Leadbelcher again, then use Ironbreaker for higlighting. I just added some extra brushes on the breastplate to make it look like scratches. No special technique ... just let flow your brush.
