I think this is a easy question for most.

Say it is close combat phase and I have a monster unit with 3 different attacks, 6 at range 3, 4 at range 2, and 5 at range 1.

I go first in this phase and start to make my attacks. I pile in and I choose one enemy unit to be the target of my attacks. The enemy unit has about 20 models in it.

All my attacks are currently in range.

My question is, do i get to make all my attacks with my monster and then the opponent allocates wounds and removes the models?

Or does my oppoenent allocate wounds and remove models each time I finish my attacks with one of my weapons. Say I attack with the 3 inch weapon first and it kills several models. If my opponent removes them after that attack, that could put my remaining attacks out of range. Is this how it is supposed to be done? Or would I get my other attacks anyway since they were in range in the beginning? or was my opponent supposed to remove the models that soon?

If this were the case, I'd probably start my attacks using the short range weapons first then.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The way the rules are written I believe I get to make all my attacks and my opponent can make any saves. After all attacks and saves are done, save-after-save rolls are done, like disgustingly resilient. Then wounds can be allocated and models removed.

"ALLOCATING WOUNDS
Once all of a unit’s attacks have been
resolved, add up the damage that was
inflicted. The player commanding
the target unit must then allocate
a number of wounds to the target
unit equal to the damage that
was inflicted.
Wounds are allocated one at a time to models in the target unit.
You can allocate the wounds inflicted on your units as you see fit (the models do not have to be within range or visible to the attacking unit).
However, if you allocate a wound to a model, you must keep on allocating wounds to that model until it is slain
– a unit can never have more than one wounded model.

Some abilities allow you to make a roll to negate a wound or mortal wound allocated
to a model; in this case the roll is made for each individual wound or mortal wound
as it is allocated to the model in question. If the wound or
mortal wound is negated it has no effect on the model."

As far as I'm aware you make all of your attacks that are in range.

*edit*

Sorry got the wrong bit of the question focused on.

You are correct, you make each weapons attack one after the other and then once you have completed ALL weapon attacks from a single unit your opponent then removes models from their unit up to the total number of wounds inflicted. They can remove any models within the unit even those out of range of any attacks or out of line of sight.

As the rules you quoted state, wounds (damage) aren't allocated until after all attacks are resolved. This means attack rolls, wound rolls, and save rolls are all done. So, your opponent can't deny you some attacks by removing models from the unit to make some out of range in the example you gave.

Note that this also means you have to declare where all of a unit's attacks are going before you make any rolls. So if your monster was in range for 2 different units, you couldn't roll some, see you killed one unit off, then attack the other unit. You'd have to declare where all your attacks are going, then make the rolls. If this means you "overkill" something, and some attacks are "wasted," that's the way it goes.

Thanks for the replies everyone. This confirms what I recently realized.

I played a few games a while back with a monster that has a 3 inch range with one weapon, and 2 inch range with the other two weapons in his melee profile. I struck with the 3 inch one first, and a few of my opponents removed the their closest models to my monster, and denied my monster his remaining attacks because they were out of range. I thought I just did the attack sequence poorly. Now I know I get all my attacks. Thanks.
