Hello,

I would like to share what I've been working on since 8th came out.

It's an astra militarum army that's still very much work in progress. I made a promise with myself that I wouldn't play a single game until my army is fully painted. Shown in the pictures is my 1500 pts list which will see it's first action this saturday (almost wysiwyg ).

this is what the guard is all about. rows upon rows of ordinary men. Also, quite pleased with these HBs.

plasma vets!

warlord Gerhard von Treppenwitz with his loyal bodyguard Bärchen. Also two CCs and lieutenant Heinrich Hüftgold.

These are armoured sentinels. I build the roof open to show off the stahlhelms and tie them in with the rest.

you gotta have some tanks

Most of the models are manufactured by Anvil Industry and part of the trench fighter range. They make excellent resin parts which can be used to make any guard army imaginable. Can't recommend them enough.

I will be adding to this as the collection grows. If any of you are interested in WIP pics, please let me know.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Very cool, I like the color choice, the rivet details, the heavy weapon carriages, it all looks good.

Thank you. Also a big fan of those carriages, The weapons are swappable too, which is nice for list tinkering.

Haha the feeling is all too familiar. Focus is the key to productivity.

Looking great, and awesome discipline in not playing a game till all painted - you should be a Commissar!

Sure! I paint them to look acceptable on the battlefield as a whole, so forgive me for not painting eyes etc.

Here is a sergeant and some guardsmen

Next up some veterans.

haha thanks. Yesterday my patience was rewarded with a game against my friend's excellent Dark Angels. They absolutely slaughtered me .

The end of the DA's first movement phase

What's left of the gunline after a round of shooting. Those Talonmaster and Sammael on Sableclaw are absolutely deadly to guardsmen. If anybody has any tips on taking them on please let me know .

Clearly you needed more tanks!

This is a lovely force, very cohesive and a cool showcase of Anvil Industry stuff too.

The tabletop standard is regardless very good, and well done on trying to get it all painted up pronto!

That's a very good looking guard army. Nice colours!

I like the looks of the Anvil heavy weapons. Why do you not recommend their products?

And another question: in which region do you pay? Would like to see this army on the table and fight it

Wow those are excellent. Love the Anvil stuff. Definitely one to look at if I give into temptation and do some trenchcoat guard.

Singleton Mosby, he said he cant recommend them highly enough. Overwhelming praise there.

Looking great, the greatcoat buttons could be painted with a metallic to break up the green a bit, maybe add decals on the chimera. Nice to see a IG army well cleaned and painted to a high standard.
