My mate is making a harlequin character Ona jet bike out of spare troupe master parts, a sky weaver chassis and the old metal jet bike cowl with the mask in it. It one of our fave old rogue trader models getting a new lease of life. So I made this datasheet for the model. A sky weaver troupe master. He has the same special rules as a troupe master and the ones skyweavers get, I used the stat increases a warlock gets for riding a bike and the power level too. We don’t use pints so haven’t done that. Any thoughts? I even put the page number on so it could replace a page at the start of the datasheet section in the codex where’s there’s no rules.

I'd play against it. I don't have my codex in front of me, but I feel like he should be about 2PL (~40 points) more expensive than a normal troupe master.

Something to keep in mind is that his extreme speed lets him behave more or less like a Soaring Spite troupe master, easily crossing the table and assaulting on turn 1, bringing his fusion pistol into play right off the bat, etc. The fact that you can take this guy on top of a traditional Soaring Spite troupe master opens up certain previously unavailable combos. So you can run (3 of) this guy with a Soaring Spite TM to get a ton of turn 1 charges off, or you can take this guy instead of a very specific build of soaring spite TM, thus reducing the desirability of said traditional build.

If I wanted to abuse this, I'd probably field it with a Solitaire, some quickened shining spears, and some red grief reavers. I'd throw as many units into the enemy lines on turn 1 as possible, prioritizing buff characters and dakka-focused units. This same general idea is already achievable, but the TMs would make us that much better at it as we wouldn't have to rely on psychic powers as much to get some of our units in.

Also, I'd be very tempted to let him take a haywire cannon, although I realize such a weapon is more effective in his hands than on a normal skyweaver.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
