I understand that people use the get extra relics stratagem to get relics in non warlord detachments....

Can you do this for any detachment that is part of your army? That is, say you are taking marines, guard and custodes or some similar combination. If you spend the CP does each detachment get a relic?

As long as you unlock the stratagems, you can use them just fine. If you have 3 detachments of different factions, you can use the relic stratagem from each faction just fine.
