Just thought I'd compile some of the info about space wolves from the codex that is new here.

-The Iron Wolves are now lead by Vorek Gnarlfist whom has kept the symbol of the Iron Wolf in honor of his predessor.
-Sven Bloodhowl has dissappered after assaulting a blackstone fortress at Cadia, his wolfguard rule in his absence until his fate can be detirmined,
-Intercessor Marines use the Grey Hunter markings
-Reivers use Scout markings
-Agressor and Hellblasters use Longfang Markings
-Inceptors use Bloodclaw Markings
-The decision to accept the Primaris Marines was not without debate, and some wolf lords saw them as a "ploy to undo their proud traditions and finaly bend the space wolves to the codex astartes" Logan Grinmar heard the protests but told his wolf lords to follow the will of Gulliman at this time.
- Once they had a chance to show their skill in Battle primaris marines where deployed more readily. and it was initally hoped they may be the key to curing the curse of the Wulfen, however it is discovered they are just as suspectable to the curse as any other son of Russ (Dear GW, please make Primaris Wulfen a thing, thanks muchly)
- Many Primaris Marines, to prove their devotion and test their mettle undergo the Test of Mokai. they don't need to drink from the cup of the Wulfen but they still make the thousand mile trek across Fenris befreit of clothing or weapons. Well most pass the trial so small few do not return (... coming soon, Primaris Thunderwolves?!)
- "Of all the primaris battle-brothers it was the Primaris Wolf preists who had the greatest difficulties in gaining acceptance, because at first their warchants wherenof Fenris but copied from ancient manual on Terra dating to before the great crusade (Whoops!) However their zeal and skill has won over even the msot grizzled space wolves, and with everty battle they become more and more steeped in Ferensian tradtion"
- Since the introduction of Primaris Marines the Blood Claws have pushed a lot of fights with the new comers, they resent that they are not of Fenris and have not proved themselves in tribal battle, it doesn't help that the Blood Claws have yet to master the beast within and are thus fairly agressive. To try and stop these confrontations from going to the point of space wolf squads tearing each other apart, the Wolf Lords have implimented ritual unarmed combats, that are ended before they become Fatal. It lets both parties get their agressions out and see that their opponent is a worthy warrior.
- Inceptors are the "most impetuous" of the Space Wolves Primaris Marines. and are noted for agressivly pushing forward, plenty of times warriors following in their wake will arrive on the scene to find the Inceptor has already destroyed the foe. Many make the pilgrimage to Fenris to do the test of Morkai, "perhaps more then any other primaris Battle brother" When they complete the trial they join in the feasting in the great hall, listening to the stories and looking forward to carving out their own Sagas.
-Intercessor Squads and Grey hunter squads seem to have a friendly rivlary going. They'll compete to see which squad can get the most kills but will also willingly give their lives to save the other. and that it's "not uncommon for a pack of intercessors to form a immovable firing line to halt an advancing enemy and give a wolf priest time to tend injured battle brothers or retrive gene seed, even at the cost of their lives"
-Reivers are moody gits and really only get along well with Wolf scouts.
- Aggressors are noted as being the "most gregerous and joval"
- Thunder Wolf Cavlary is "conveniantly absent from any offical imperial records" although there is at least one high quality pirate video of a trio of thunder wolves wrecking Ork gak. and rumors of TWC persist, 'no matter how often the space wolves deny the practice"

One of the biggest suprises to me was that they didn't tkae the oppertunity to put a Primaris Wolf Lord running Sven Bloodhowl's great company.

shame. They’ve missed a trick there. Maybe scared of upsetting the die hards.

A SW successor is already known from the Dark Imperium novel, it's pure primaris.

I'm shocked they didn't use the oppertunity to slide in a Primaris Wolf Lord into one of the companies that lost it's leader.

I suppose they don't say Vorek Grimfist is a non primaris or primaris so they could in the future retcon him into a Primaris Wolf Lord. My gut feeling is they didn't do it because there just wasn't a good looking space wolf primaris captain. the standard Primaris Captain is pretty "generic marine"

I love that Aggressors are super happy doing what they do.

Nothing on Bran? I really wish forge world published the model for him back in the day.

I am a dyslectic, so bear with me.

Dyslectics in a text based environment? Dakka is aware of you and sympathises with any troubles you have: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/505863.page
