A light reconnisense aircraft built to replace and supplment the JSDFs current Loach fleet. It has no inbult weapons (as it is just a scout heli) but is equipped with a very advanced sensor suite for it's duties and has options for 4 hardpoint attached weapons, be they AAMs, ATGMs, rockets, or even guns. A fun mobile little heli. And the first non-american vehicle to win the American Helicopter Society Howard Hughes Award for it's unique rotor hub.

It was love at first sight when the Russian Hind (MI-24) crested the canyon wall and my girl, Baby from Dirty Dancing got immediately lit up, and her compatriot, Ponyboy Curtis of the Outsiders was tragically gunned down on the wrong end of his faceoff with the giant attack helicopters in the 1984 documentary Red Dawn.
Runner up is whatever helicopter that was flown by the villian in the Nicolas Cage “Top Gun but with helicopters” movie, Fire Birds.

That's the one, Nicholas Cage ends up driving round the airbase with a pair of knickers on his head IIRC. Regarding the name the thing is though surely the same logic would have applied in the US?
Anyway, I've always liked the iconic UH-1 Huey. The Lynx looks sleeker admittedly, but with its pudgy nose the Huey somehow looks more like a fighting aircraft, if the Lynx is roughly analogous to the Spitfire in the Cold War mutli-role helicopter category, the Huey is the Hurricane.
Honourable mentions would go to the Sea King, Chinook, Longbow Apache and Hind in no particular order.

Mostly it's because we used to have a lot of them flying around over our house when I was a kid.
But I like the Hind and the Huey too, probably the most famous helicopters.
I would like to add the big Helicopter the UK coastguard use/used, which I believe is/was the Sea King - that's a pretty cool aircraft, though I seem to recall that they retired them recently.
They retired the Sea King, and now everyone who worked on them has to check their exposure to asbestos.
I don't like aircraft. The tech and physics is cool but people talking about them, and about flying them, and spotting them, and everything to do with the culture, bores the hell out of me.
Still, Pumas were my babies for nearly a decade. Ugly and ungainly as they were, they were mine and I miss them (never thought I'd ever miss working on an aircraft!).

My wife flew CH-47s for quite a while in our Army before transitioning to fixed wing aircraft.
I have a hard time picking a favorite, but the Little Birds (AH-6/MH-6) the 160th SOAR flies are pretty cool.

The Mil Mi-26. Because it is huge and it can do this: If the Mi-26 can't lift something, nothing in the world can lift it.
The Mil Mi-24 (known to the West as Hind) would be a close second. I like it because it is the best helicopter gunship ever made, combining the heaviest firepower, heaviest armour and a transport helicopter all in one vehicle. The Mi-24 is one of the most versatile vehicles ever built. And it looks really nice and futuristic with its distinctive double bubble canopies.
Also, helicopter are my favourite vehicle in general. I hope to save up enough money to learn to fly them one day.

But if forced to pick an actual Helicopter from the real world then its going to be the Mil Mi-24 Hind and that is purely from its role in Rambo - to my eye (esp when I first saw the film) it was that powerhouse of a gunship with rotors that had everything on it whilst having the bulk of looking serious and deadly.
Mi-24 and it's predecessors and derivatives. An excellent do-everything workhorse. And arguably the most serious looking combat helicopter ever built.

And when it comes to logistics, transport, robustness, and overall versatility, the Mi-8 (Mi-17, Mi-18, etc.) and it's many variants are just tremendous. It's one area where Russia outclasses most of the rest of the world; helicopters.
