Have any of you had a challenge between Marneus Calgar and The Swarmlord on the Tabletop when playing a game of 40K? If so, how did it go? Who won?

Swarmlord always won. Then again, this was with a 5e codex and none of us could come up with a clear consensus on how the bonesabres worked. This usually made melee with the Swarmlord in our games absolute suicide.

Considering Calgar has been used in exactly 0.38 8th edition games, I think it's fair to say the Swarmlord would win.

I've seen Calgar do not much. I've seen the Swarmlord become the last surviving Tyranid and then kill literally every other enemy unit.

If you are talking about let them duel on the tabletop under 8th edition rules. Swarmlord will win absoutely 99% of the time. Swarmlord has 6 attacks Calgar have 5. Both will hit on 2s, Calgar wound Swarmlord on 3s dealing D3 dmg on Swarmlord for each unsaved wound, Swarmlord wound Calgar on 2s dealing 2dmg for each unsaved wound on Calgar (because the Calgar's armor), Swarlord has 3++ saves VS Calgar's 4++ saves. Swarmlord has 12 wounds and Calgar only has 7 wounds.

If trying to 1 VS 1 duel, Guilliman may be more of a proper and more fair match against Swarmlord.
