Has anyone done the math on the value of Rapid Fire on Minas Tirith Avenger Bolt Throwers? Upgrading two with Rapid Fire virtually costs the same amount as simply taking three bare-bones ones which I imagine can be the more value-rich option?

I've actually never tried any sort of Siege Weapons in my entire time with SBG, so this will be my first attempt at adding some to a list!

Avengers have Rapid Fire, period.

Swift Reload lets you roll two dice and choose the highest.

Sorry, that's what I meant. I'm trying to figure out the real-world "math-hammer" value of the Swift Reload on two Throwers, versus just getting a third one for almost the same points.

Well, off the top of my head; you get to roll four dice for two machines with swift reload versus three dice for three individual ones. Meaning that you are more likely to get more shots with the swift reload; but have a higher possible number of shots with three individual machines.

So it's really a case of how far you trust your luck. Swift reload gives you better odds of getting 6-12 shots, but three machines gives you the theoretical possibility of getting up to 18. When all is said and done, you'd probably find they averaged out about the same over the course of a game (iindeed, that's the intent behind the costing!)
