Just for sake of discussion what are some of your favorite armies and/or combos you have pulled off in 8th edition?

One of mine is a tervigon with a 30man unit of termagaunts 20 devours 10 fleshborers in small points games, you put out a ton of shots and it’s really hard to wipe the unit, especially if you have some Venomthropes around for the -1 to hit

I've played Eldar armies which were 100% infantry (actually a few bikes) with no psykers, basically Aspect Warrior hosts. They work pretty well in fun games if you're not beating eachother's faces in.

I like the Lord of Change with a combination of Impossible Robe relic, Incorporeal Form warlord trait and Warp Surge stratagem.

People usually panic, shoot everything at it, fail to kill him, and then cry that it's a broken combo and shouldn't be allowed. Smart people just ignore it and win the game.

Which aspect warriors did you use?

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

Renegade Atropos Warlord giving a -3 debuff to leadership, High Magister DP casting Treason of Tzeentch with cabal strat, easily taking control of characters and watching them murder their own loyal soldiers. Mmmmm.

Fish of Fury for Tau with Devilfish, Fire Warriors, Railfinders (Rail Rifles are awesome), Fire Blades, and some Breachers doing the fishy stuff while my Commanders, Riptide, Broadsides, and standard pathfinders provided the backfield support.

A bit cheeky as it abuses the "astra militarum" keyword, but I love using valkyries with Dkok, especially engineers. Can be nasty and cram 2 small squads loads with 2 plasma a heavy flamer and demo charge each. I prefer a bare bones squad of 10 with maybe a demonstration charge accompanied by a field officer and priest, jump out in front of any non-vehicle target and either use the grenadier stratagem and 1's to wound order for maximum pain or unload shotguns and charge any non melee focused infantry.

Pity dkok don't get reroll 1's to hit as carcass ammo is a bit too suicidal for my taste or frfsrf for grenadiers, but would probably be too imbalanced.

Probably not points efficient considering the cost of the valkyries but feels like a proper shock troops unit for guard and has enough mobility and punch to be useful.
