Anyone added landraider sponsons to the repulsor? Think It would look actually good with a pair of sponsons. Hopefully GW will end up releasing something similar.

I've always said that if the Repulsor needed anything, it's more guns.

Well it looks ugly without sponsons, I'm not advocating for more weaponry, was just thinking of how to make it look good. They could do a sponson version and tone down the other weaponry. Though its an over priced unit so doesn't really matter how many weapons its got.

I'd actually be ok with this if they got rid of the weirdness of a marine vehicle suddenly using a stubber instead of a storm bolter.

Yeah SM's have never had stubbers. But whats done is done. Its this fancy new tech and all GW did was get a landraider and stuck a turret on the top and grav plates on the bottom.

Blame the Mechanicus for sticking it on. Once the Marines have had it for a while I'm sure they'll find a way to shove Gatling Cannon or Heavy Bolter there instead. Having built one I'd describe it as the lovechild of a drunk threeway between a Land Raider, Land Speeder and a Predator, but you're description works too.

What it needs is the ability to carry regular marines and Terminators (and maybe Centurions). And the Primaris need the boot in their behind so they can be stuffed in Raiders and Rhinos.

I can see some lore justification for the (relatively) brand new stuff not being set up to carry both due to different connectors and safety harness configurations, but at the same time I feel like more options for Primaris would solve the problem of them having trouble hoofing it about the table.
What we really need is to give everyone the boot so they can all ride in Drop Pods again.

Yeah so stupid that they can't share vehicles, its not like they are so OP that giving them cheap transports is going to turn them into 7th edition wraithnights. Primaris are extremely expensive and the only CC unit they have doesn't need a transport. I think they want to do that so they can sell the new Primaris vehicles when they come but people are going to buy them as well, so stupid on GW account.

Safety harness, with SM's, come on dude, they are walking tanks, they wouldn't even need seat-belts in the DeLorean lol, plus the Mech could just make a converter for connectors. There is no lore justifications, an army has to be tactically flexible, if they are overrun and have to retreat you can't imagine them saying no thanks rhino driver, we don't have the right harnesses or connectors, we'll just sit here and wait to die, or telling a rhino driver, we can't come in and drive to the centre of the battle because we are not compatible with rhino tech.

I converted my one up with sponsons and an accelerator cannon turret, it looks much better than the original as I have removed almost all the weaponry.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

People always complain about the stupidest stuff.
Repulsors look awesome - because they have lots of guns. More guns...even better. Problem is if you throw 4 more lascannons on their you basically have almost all the firepower of an Astraeus. That might be a little much.

To me it has a bit to much going on. I would also probably like it a bit more if it wasn't a hover tank. I liked the idea that hover tech was rare and difficult to use or maintain. To suddenly have floating land raiders strikes me as silly.
