Hi guys, I jumped the gun and made a couple of posts first but just saying hello to all at forums.

I much prefer discussion on forums as apposed to social media and the likes, so its nice to see a large active forum like this.

I am 34 years old married with 2 kids, recently got back in to warhammer 40k after about 20 odd years, think I was about 10 years old to about 14 or so when I last collected them. I believe it was the second edition when I used to play, Tau and Necrons didnt exist back then, as with many of the imperium variants there is now, from memory it was pretty much orks, space marines, choas, imperial guard, eldar and tyrannids, which were brand new to 40k

I used to collect Dark Angels, Tyrannids and Imperial Guard.

I remember many battles playing my Dark Angels against my friend Jono's Chaos Space marine army. I nearly always lost, and I clearly remember these deamons he had, whereby when you killed one, they split in to two and had really tough armour saves. Jono and I once took his army to a mini tournament thing organised at the local GW store, and we won, even beating a GW staff member at the final battle, and winning a tank free as the prize.

Towards the end, when we had pretty much moved on, we looked very carefully at the rules, turns out, that Jono had misinterpretted the rules around those deamons (completely innocently I will add) and they were no were near as tough as he thought! All those battles I lost, and probably shouldn't have had! Oh well, it fooled the GW store guy for a free tank!

Now in 2018 I have recently started putting together a Grey Knights army which is progressing well, I am having a lot of sucess getting good deals on metal's from ebay.

At some point I would love to play a game, I have bought the 40k rule book plus the Grey Knight Codex and have been doing some reading up.

Cheers guys.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
