Know this is an old one but just checking.

Alpha legion battalion
Deathguard super heavy aux

Can I use both codex's strats on every unit in the army as a whole so long as they meet the keywords

Yes. It's in either the CSM or Death Guard FAQ, from memory.

Correct, because you have legally unlocked the CSM and DG stratagems.

Note that all Death Guard stratagems specifically (except Fire Frenzy, which is in both codices anyways) ask for DEATH GUARD units, so you cannot ever use them on any units from the CSM codex.

For Codex CSM, Gifts of Chaos and Daemon Forgethe cannot be used on Death Guard units since they specifcally ask for units from codex CSM.
The only ones that can actually be used are Daemon Shell, Chaos Familiar and Tide of Traitors. All others are either limited to Keywords or Units DG doesn't have or are found in both codices anyways.

So, short long answer is "No, just those three".

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks do not think that purple makes them harder to see. They do think that camouflage does however, without knowing why.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Eh, you could have gotten that one from the FAQ.

Giving Mortarion warptime to cast on himself via Chaos Familiar is nice as well

Daemon Shell is a stratagem that sometimes make sense to use on a chaos lord to do some extra mortal wounds to something like a knight. Not awesome, but situationally might be coming in handy.
