I play fyreslayers and am thinking about allying with a Wizard to get some unbinding power and also maybe to cast an endless spell - probably chronomatic cogs to help with charging from deepstrike.

Anyone know of some good options?

Depending on what you are running:

Loremaster. Can also give one model rerolls to hit to wound and saves. (can be fantastic on Monsters, characters and artillery)
Celestial hurricanum. Expensive but fantastic army wide (for all order models) bubble buff on him. And has a quite powerful mortal wound output.

Some like an Archmage (can give a 6++ in a bubble)

Knight Incantor. Reasonably low cost, durable, good warscroll spell, once per game auto-dispel. Can be allied into Fyreslayer allegiance.

I am new to the allies rules. So I guess fyreslayers can only ally with storemcast, KO, ironweld arsenal, and Dispossessed. I guess I was under the impression I could ally with any order faction, but that is only true if I am ok with renouncing my fyreslayer allegiance abiliies for order allegiance abilities - which I don't think i would want to do.

Though that Celestial hurricanum giving all my dwarfs that +1 to hit buff would be nice hah.

Knight Incantor seems to be a solid pick if I want to get some exposure to endless spells while keeping my fyreslayer allegiance.
