As Blades of Khorne keys of the Khorne keyword and the Brass Despoilers battalion gives the beastmen the Khorne keyword and I correct that the battalion can be included as part of a Blades of Khorne force without needing to be allies?

As written no, as the battalion itself lacks the keyword. Per the FAQ, even if all units in a battalion have the correct keyword, if the battalion itself lacks said keyword, the battalion and all units within count as allies. In the event a battalion lacks the keyword, it is assumed to have the keyword of its publication.

The developers have however said the intent was to for these battalions to be usable in the god armies. But developers have been overruled in the past (such as when the DoT writers said destiny dice were usable on mortal wound rolls).

We will just have to wait on the FAQ update for BoC honestly.

Can you please provide a link to the pertinent FAQ? I just checked on the Warhammer-Community.com assortment and didn't see that anywhere in the GHB one or the Core rule book one.

If that's the case, that means my Khorne stuff will have to wait to come out.....though I guess we could still use them in a regular Chaos army to get some Bloodstokers and a Bloodsecrator in there with them. Chaos Warriors can be Khorne for the Battleline. Still, kinda meh without the Blood Tithe.

Beasts of Chaos is pretty good though, I like the Herdstone and endless spells they get.

Everchosen designer's commentary has this:

Q: Can the battalions in this book be used in Khorne, Nurgle,
Slaanesh or Tzeentch armies?
A: Yes, but the battalion and all of the units in it would
be allies.

If your units have khorne keyword they can be blades of khorne. but if they are part of a none khorne battalion, the battalion and units in it are allies.

Only grand alliance allows all battalions of subfactions I remember from a previous topic

Thank you! Too bad, I hope they Errata that for the Beasts of Chaos, but I'll give it a whirl in a generic Chaos Allegiance too. With the Lord of War, got a 1/3 chance of units getting a +1 to hit with the general nearby, that's pretty good!

Heh, on the same day you posted this, they did the errata.

Page 82 – Followers of the Brass Bull
Change to:
‘Units from this battalion gain the Khorne keyword. In
addition, this warscroll battalion is part of the Khorne
faction and the Beasts of Chaos faction.’
Page 83 – Covens of the Changer
Change to:
‘Units from this battalion gain the Tzeentch keyword.
In addition, this warscroll battalion is part of the
Tzeentch faction and the Beasts of Chaos faction.’
Page 84 – Vectors of the Plague God
Change to:
‘Units from this battalion gain the Nurgle keyword. In
addition, this warscroll battalion is part of the Nurgle
faction and the Beasts of Chaos faction.’
Page 85 – Marked by the Decadent Fiend
Change to:
‘Units from this battalion gain the Slaanesh keyword.
In addition, this warscroll battalion is part of the
Slaanesh faction and the Beasts of Chaos faction.’
