Pretty happy with how this one came out in that it's pretty much my best one so far, but of course you know what happens when you take pictures of minis... you start noticing mistakes. Sigh.

Nice! I like what you've done with the base too. Did you paint the lava colours in first before the crackle paint?

Yep. Painted the lava colors first, then Martian Ironearth on top, then sponged black on that once it had dried. It might actually be easier to do with different types of crackle paint, come to think of it. Anyway, here's the thread with my tutorial and the WHTV one I based the technique on.

Great tutorial. Thanks. I watched the whole thing and there were some moments where I thought you'd ruined it until I saw the end result. Excellent.
