So I’ve edited this just a little bit. I will have magnetized vehicles, so if I ever need points, I will be fine. I added a scion to the one ten man squad, and I will just drop a Tempestor Prime from a Valkyrie to give orders for them.

The basic idea for the list hasn’t changed. The two ten man hs lasgun squads will go out in the dakka Tauroxes and kill chaff. The hs volley gun squads are in a unique position, as I can just drop them wherever. They could take objectives or support other troops. The melta gun squad will drop from a Valkyrie and will hopefully destroy a vehicle or two. The Tauroxes with cannon and autocannons will either keep at range or get close in order to take advantage of the doctrine on the autocannons. One Valkyrie will drop a Tempestor Prime to give the hs lasgun squads their orders, as explained above. The one extra squad with plasma guns, I’m not quite sure about. I might just put grenade launchers in the squad and have them act as support.
After the Valkyries drop their troops, they will try to get behind the enemy, or at some other vulnerable flank, and go into hover mode. They will unload as much as the can to destroy screens, so then the three plasma command squads and a Tempestor Prime with the Laurels can drop and destroy things.

You've got plenty of anti-tank, I would consider dropping one of the Tauroxes, freeing up some points elsewhere and see how a Punisher Vulture would work in the list. You're looking at 43 S5 shots (BS3+ if you don't move).

Sounds nice, but I’m not doing FW. I’m going for being able to play anywhere no contest.

Like the list. However, I think you could get more CP by deciding the battalion into 2 battalions. I couldn’t tell you how to shuffle the points but it’s only 35 for a Lord Commissar.

I would also personally shuffle the melta guns from the troop squads to the command squads, and the plasma from the command squads to the troops.

Also, if you are worried about tanks, you could always replace 2 of the Scion Command squads that have plasma with meltas.

All you would need to do is load the two squads and a Tempestor into a Valkyrie, move 20, disembark, move 6c issue elimination protocol and boom, 8 bs3 meltas at half range rerolling wounds. Add in laurels of command and you could also reroll ones to hit.

I've fought in this endless hateful war for eight months now, night and day. In that time I've aged a decade. My hair has turned grey, nearly all my squad have died, and I doubt I'll ever smile again. I've fought next to heroes and strangled men in their sleep. But I'm still alive and by the Emperor I plan to stay that way. - Acting-Captain Haines,47th Armageddon Steel Legion

I would do the two battalions thing as well, had not that some people don’t play the Advisors and Auxillia rules interaction with the Militarum Tempestus rule that way.

How viable are Valkyries these days? With the Nerf to deep strike, I could see them being a great tool for an alpha strike, but would imagine keeping them and their cargo alive a caveat

I’m in the process of building it, so I don’t know for sure, but they are what, Toughness 7? They can cross the board in one turn, three weapons, one being a Lascannon, which I need. I can put them in hover mode so they hit on threes, and then I can mulch through light and elite infantry with them.
