So I'm doing a bunch of Ork flyer conversions and need to cut down some of the clear components. However I've already broken a few of them while trying to cut them because they're so brittle. Any tips from the clever people of Dakka?

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Ever cut glass? Same concept.
Less cutting, more scoring and breaking. Make a slight cut, barely more than a scratch. Then another in the first groove, then another, then another ten or fifteen, then get something hard right up against the groove. Break down, away from the groove.
I'd Google " how to score glass" and apply to the clear plastic you're cutting.
Good luck! It's an odd skill. You'll mess it up a bunch, then it'll click.

You can get some clear plastic(duralar) sheets at local hobby lobby; use a ruler and cut with sharpe xacto knife on a cutting mat. Always cut slightly larger than you need and dry fit to the canopy, shave down or sand with sanding sponge(Home Depot).

I use clear drying gel like glue to glue on the clear plastic so they don’t fog.

I've cut a ton of plexi glass in the past. I used to work in a hardware store in hs and college. I wouldn't say you cut it exactly. You need to score it a few times, depending how think it is. Put the larger piece on the table the smaller piece hanging off the edge against the score mark. Press the smaller piece down and it should break, if it doesn't score it a few more times. If you need more help inbox me.
