With the serious lack of stormcast lists in this thread i thought i'd have a go.
Right now i own soulwars and tempest of souls as well as a handful of Liberators and a Lord Castellant.
I'll have some days off and money to burn come November, so i'm planning my next steps up to a 2k pts list and here's what i have in mind.
The core will be a cleansing phalanx with 2x10 Sequitors, 5 Evocators and 3 Evos on Dracolines. Add a Lord Arcanum on Dracoline to buff that heavy cav charge (Thundershock or Azyrite Halo, pride leader on the mount and the command abilty...) and make Sequitors battleline. That makes my core 1340, has solid staying power, a fast element and some serious oomph in melee.
Hammers of Sigmar as that's that paintjob and i like all that comes with it except that horrible artefact...

General: We cannot fail, Spell: Thundershock, Artefact: Aetherquartz Brooch, Mount: Pride Leader
Cleansing Phalanx: 120
Sequitors (10): 240
Sword and Shield, 4 Greatmaces + Prime
Sequitors (10): 240
Mace & Shield, 4 Greatmaces + Prime
Evocators (5): 200
Spell: Celestial Blades, 5 Staff & Sword
Evocators on Dracoline (3): 300
Spell: Terrifying Aspect, 2 Grandstaves (Prime), 1 Sword & Staff

Now i'm really unsure, what to fill up the remaining 660 pts with. I most certainly want a Castellant for the armor buff and i like an Incantor for the unique spell and guaranteed unbind. A third battleline is mandatory, i don't like Judicatirs a lot but i think shooting is what i will need more of from here. I also like the idea of a second Arcanum on Gryphcharger to winds aetheric onto objectives and revive and heal, as well as autocast empower within the cleansing phalanx for sequitirs. Do i just fill up the rest with ballistae? Might i need prosecutors for fast little units to hop on objectives? Also i might pick up a Heraldor to get out of unfavourable engagements.

Spell: Stormcaller, Mount:Windrunner
Sequitors (5): 120
Mace & Shield, 2 Greatmaces + Prime
Lord Castellant: 100
Celestar Ballista: 100
Celestar Ballista: 100

Alternatively swap the Arcanum for an Incantor and a Heraldor. Add in that goddamned blade artefact and it's a snuggly 2k pts with the above core. Could also make the Gryphcharger the general to hang back while the Dracoline Arcanum can go all in without too much risk...
That's where i'm stuck, kind of. Aby ideas? Am i too hellbent on my core? Is it too many heroes?

So I just want to say exalt for the name. Because you can't always be mature, but you can always be immature!

Anyways, the simple reality here is that your core build is so strong already it does not much matter what you fill the rest with unless you are aiming for tournaments or your local meta is competitive. Sequitors are the best battleline for Stormcast and among the best battleline in the game, evocators are supremely overpowered, and they are both wrapped into a good battalion as well. I would personally be more concerned with the list being too strong!

Regardless, your planned on addition is solid. You are right to want shooting and the ballista is a good choice if you want to avoid judicators. The incantor + heraldor would be stronger than the arcanum due to tactical utility (run + charge, make terrain explode, auto-dispel) but go with what you enjoy more.

My local meta is pretty much a mixed bag, the guy i play most with knows no mercy. For the weaker opponents i have some Castigators in my backpocket and i intend to convert a Lord Exorcist and go for the Grand Convocation with some Endless Spell shenanigans, but that's an entirely different topic. This list is meant to be pretty much the most brutal i can get.

So I can scarcely believe I forgot; chronomantic cogs. You want the list to be stronger, bring them. Drop a ballista for them. Totally worth it.

List looks great, I’m curious what you would go for if you had to keep your list to 1000 points using similar to what you have there?

At 1k i run 2×5 Sequitors, Lord Arcanum, Knight Incantor, 3 Castigators, 1 Ballista, 5 Evocators on foot. Debatably Incantor and Castigators can swap for Castellant and a Ballista. I have the former models painted and the latter not, so...
