Hey guys, trying to help my friend who's been out of the hobby for a long time construct a list since he's struggling a bit with the 8th meta. He has all of the models available in this list except the Smash captain. I don't want it to be a super comp list (we're just a bunch of filthy casuals) but i don't want it to be a pushover list either. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Also, he has more intercessors, hellblasters, and I'm considering cutting either the 2nd squad of Dev's or Intercessors to fit in a cannonback.

I am short in time now, if nobody gives you options, later I will. Just one fast, 10 man intercessor squad is too much. Better a 5, 6 or 7. You save points and suffer less in morale

Well, now I have more time. Okay, let say he has no Smash Captain, he don´t need it. The units he has got, I would go for 2 battalions. With more CP he will have enought for strats an re-rolls. As HQ for one deteachmen he can use the Gravis Captain and a intercessor as a LT. For the other one, he has the Librarian and also the option of doing the Predator in combination of Chronus. For the base troops you have the 3 x 5 man scouts, and you can do 3 x 5 intercesor scuads with a auxiliary grenade launcher witch gives you more options ( 5 man intercesor with the aux.grend are 91pts).

You can do for point adjustement, two small Dev units with one ML and one HB and 3 normal marines in to just use the Hell fire rounds and the flack missile if necessary. You would still have two Cherums for repeating the strats.

Chronus is cheap, gives you always a 2+ BS, not degrading and repairing one point per turn ( could help) and gives you the 4rd option for HQ for the two deteachment.
