Me and the not-missus-yet are going on a cruise next week, leaving from the Brooklyn cruise terminal and coming back on a saturday morning. So we thought it might be cool to try a famous NY eatery before we head home. I've been to Katz's Deli before and thought we'd go there, but google maps shows the craziest zigzag route i've ever seen to get there from the terminal. I don't really wanna take a cab or uber. So maybe it would be better to stick to Brooklyn.. anyone know of any must-eat restaurants in the area? Nothing fancy with cloth napkins, just damn good food. Anyone know the area and have any good recommendations?

I don't know really....there are just a ton of restaurants in NYC, and almost all the ones I've been to are just as great as their competitors. Plus Brooklyn is a huge place, its hard to pinpoint one particular area. If you mean just around the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal area, a district known as Red Hook. Unfortunately, I haven't been there that much at all. What I CAN tell you is that you're almost guaranteed good food at any restaurant with a bar. If that doesn't help, then...i don't know, try google?

I will forever remain humble because I know I could have less.
I will always be grateful because I remember I've had less.
