Hello Dakka,

The last few days have been interesting. I am stationed on Tyndall AFB (just arrived a month ago), which took a direct hit from Hurricane Michael.

I evacuated to the Montgomery Alabama area. I am going a little crazy just sitting here in the hotel (and we may be stuck here for a month or more) and wanted to see if there is anybody in the area.

To make matters more complicated, I didnt bring my armies with me. When we evac'd we were under the impression it was only going to be a Cat 2. Imagine my surprise when I woke up the morning of
and found it was a Cat 4, bordering on a 5. Needless to say our base was flooded and I am praying my armies arent floating somewhere in the ocean or in the middle of the base.

As such, I would have to ask to borrow an army if we play. I know its a lot to ask but with how much this hurricane set me back between moving to the base a little over a month ago and what it will cost to live the next few
weeks at a hotel I dont think I can afford to run out and buy a whole new army.

Just thought I would post an update. I see that a lot of people have read the post, so I am guessing there are local people but maybe not with multiple armies (?)

Anyways, I bit the bullet and bought a 2000 point Custodes army (coming in tomorrow and need to assemble it all) cause we will likely be stuck here longer than we anticipated.

If anybody is interested in playing please let me know. I am free any day and any time. I stopped by at the local flgs and saw what looked like a healthy community.
However, I prefer to have a game set up ahead of time rather than showing up and trying to snag people who likely already had their own plans.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I'm sorry I can't help out but I'm nowhere near you (different country entirely in fact). I just wanted to reply to say that a lot of people may be reading the post because of the intriguing title. Evacuating is kind of attention grabbing. So don't be disheartened. I don't think people are ignoring you. Anyway, best of luck finding a game. I sincerely hope your models are waiting safe for you on your return.

I probably would have thought of that eventually, but Ill chalk my empty-headiness up to the stress from the evac (though thats more just to save face haha)
