Hey all.

Even though I am still getting my collection 2nd edition compliant, I have enough to head to my FLGS this coming Monday for my first games. So, does the hive mind have any suggestions about major differences to watch out for?

Since it's been many months since I've played X-wing of any sort, I'm probably going to make mistakes so I could use some help "idiot proofing" my list options.

Option 1. Rear Adm & Rexler. A two ship list at high initiatives. Fewer variables to think about/triggers to miss. Still pretty powerful (maybe?). I'm looking to have fun, but winning _is_ pretty fun

I played around with a list like this in 1st, not terribly successfully, but it was pretty good. It's also sort of based on Gold Sqdn Podcast's Francois Moret's list of Vader & Rexler (he made top 8 iirc).

I'm contemplating dropping the crew on the Deci for Vader crew and switching Rex to Juke & collision detector (Vader strips a token so Rexler can juke more effectively)...

The other list is kind of a variation of the Commonwealth Defender list, which I used in my best Regionals showings back in the day. A lambda kitted out as an AWACS with Vessery and support ship.

The idea here is that Sai can coordinate a focus to Vessery or the bomber, get a focus back then also get a TL on whatever Vessery plans to shoot triggering the optimized prototype and giving Vess the bonus Tks.

The bomber is there because saturation salvo & barrage rockets looks pretty terrifying. I dropped hull upgrade on Sai because I had 3 points and didn't really think the bid would help as much as moving the shuttle to 6 damage before 1/2 points.

What do y'all think about these options?
