One of the worst parts about joining x wing during 2.0 is the lack of variety. I have a large imperial selection with a conversation kit but I wanted to start collecting 2.0 rebels separately as they came out.... so now I'm stuck with just x wings and Y wings for 2.0. XD

I feel your pain. I sold my stuff earlier this year because I just didn't like where the game was going, and 2.0 really felt like a total facelift and absolutely got me back on board. Bought 2 cores, 2 Y-wings, 1 X-wing, 1 TIE Advanced, and 1 TIE Fighter and while I've had a lot of fun with that stuff so far I'm really starting to feel the lack of variety. Really hoping they re-package some of the older ships for 2.0 soon. I miss my A-wings and TIE Interceptors.

I want A-wings and a Ghost! Then we can start doing death star battles!

Wave 2 is due in this quarter (probably late November or early December) we have had no announcements for wave 3 so probably Q2 of next year. It is supposed that they will be repackaging ships for 2.0 at a rate of two per faction per release so its going to be a long wait. There are still some solid deals on ebay if your patience wears out though it does necessitate getting a conversion kit.

Don't forget about the U-wing from Saws Renegades. Although without a conversion kit you'll be missing a few pilots. Which can probably be picked up easily enough separately.

Do we have an idea as to what wave 3 will be? As much as I'm looking forward to them I hope it's not the Republic or CIS factions yet.

No word yet, but my wager would be a pair of movie ships for the main factions, with the first prequel ships being wave 4.

That's a good bet unless they want to try and push the Prequel stuff out for Christmas, think the TIE brute/heavy from Solo and the FO interceptor are likely for release. Does beg the question as to what they will do with the T-85 as its not Resistance.

FFG generally announces things 4 months prior to release. I wouldn't expect anything before February unless they do the secret movie ship thing again, though that seems unlikely since they already did Lando's Falcon and all.

I've found myself wondering when they are going to do the ships from Resistance - I want that red Tie Interceptor and the Fireball.
