This is Johnson. Johnson has a minigun. Be more like Johnson. But for real, hi! this is my first attempt at doing a real conversion, it took a lot of getting used to but overall I do think it came out pretty well. C&C is absolutely welcome and encouraged, thanks for stopping to take a look.

Well done. The pieces all mesh very nicely together and feels like its own model.

I appreciate it, I came up with some custom rules as well with the help of a few buddies.

I like the weapon, its a well executed kitbash, but it looks a little out of proportion on that tiny guardsman, even for the 40k world. I'd recommend choosing a slightly upscaled human to carry this weapon instead. Maybe a sgt or hero character in your guard. sgt harkers body would make an ideal carrier for this, or maybe use the khorne blood reaver bodies and arms for that rambo/arnie look.

Alternatively, if you were to make a similar model in the future, craft some sort of powered exo-skeleton to help support the weight.

Exoframe or some kind would help, the part that looks off to me is the trigger handle, it should be reverse gripped, no way can he lift that to eye level and aim.

Here I used a IG powerfist holding a tau stealth mini gun.

The gun's a little oversized for the ammo capacity (even, as noted, for 40k, where guns the size of cars and swords the size of houses are de rigeur).
It's a start, but yeah, it's crying out for an exo-frame or something.

This is Johnson. Johnson has a minigun. Johnson doesn't carry enough ammunition to run it for more than about 1/100th of a second. In a firefight, Johnson is dead.

Carry more ammo. Don't be a Johnson.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I would have modeled Johnsons trigger hand on top of where it's at.
Cut off the hand, rotate it with the thumb pointing in, attach to the top rear of gun, position arm correctly so he's not shooting the ground & connect the gun.
Oh and give that guy an ammo pack & ammo belt.

Thanks everyone for the advice, the next time I do one of these I'll be sure to follow these! This was one of my first conversions, and I initially wanted to make an ammo backpack and whatnot but was unable to do so with my limited pieces.
