Not exactly sure what you mean by this.

With the Auric Mask relic from Imperial Knights, you roll an additional D6 when taking morale tests within 12″ of the bearer and use the highest result. (so you would roll 2d6 and take the highest result. So if you rolled a 1 and a 2, you would take the 2 and check morale).

I don't have books to hand atm, but IIRC the daemon leadership test happens when you roll a 1 for the test. You don't determine what number you rolled for the test until you resolve the test, which means you have to roll 2 dice then pick one to find out.
