Just a heads up that Ebay UK has given out a 10% coupon for today only - ends 8pm! That is on everything (barring a few exceptions like cars). So unlike a lot of Ebay UK deals, this one should be valid for all our gamer needs (not just buying "electronics and household")

Details and TC here:
https://pages.ebay.co.uk/coupons/2018/pumpkins.html?_trkparms=%26clkid%3D7551476310847549887

Basically min payment of £20

When it comes to GW prices though it still gotta be good for all the UK people. Considering in the US we don't get GW at the same prices as you considering the rediculous GW currency made up rate. So gotta be a lot better deal then our base prices with the 15% off.

So for example the new speed freaks is 90 pounds or 117.65 USD by your prices
in the US it is $150 or 114.75 pounds base price at todays exchange rates.

so with your 10% discount considering no other discounts it would be
81 pounds to buy in the UK or $105.88.

If they do a 15% discount code for ebay for US on same product it would cost us
$127.5 or 97.54 pounds.

So buying it for retail price in the UK is already over a 22% discount then what we pay in the USA (at today's exchange rate). Which is why I never could understand why UK people bitch about no ebay coupons we would need like almost a 40 percent off to equal your 10% that you just got.

Madness... I would love to invent my own company that defies the laws of traditional currency and exchange rates.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Well, firstly, people bitch about it because GW isn't the only thing you can buy on ebay, I don't think complaining we usually get rubbish or no coupons at all is unreasonable given that.

Also, if you want to invent a company that defies currency and exchange rates, open one up in America, because while you might feel put upon by GW fiddling with prices, we feel put upon with almost everything screwing us, since even after accounting for VAT and so on the straight 1:1 price parity(ie, if it costs 200 dollars, then also 200 pounds, even when our currency was worth nearly two dollars) with America we're often stuck with is almost never justified.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I'd point out many international companies don't use the actual exchange rates when devising international prices. Computer games, cameras, miniatures, books - heck many products can be cheaper "abroad" for many markets.

GW is by far and away not alone in this; however as they are a big fish in a sea which has quite a lot of very small home/garage companies (which often do work on the exchange rate), they show up far more so.

Heck GW are saints compared to, say, Nikon who won't even repair a camera that is from outside of its regional area. So if you grey import from another region, you can't get it fixed unless you ship it back to home region for the camera. And yes that's fixing (where you pay them for the service), not just warranty cover.
