Hi All,
I saw a couple of threads about what people use to transport their models, but I didn't see anything about knights. I will soon have 3 knights (1 of which is castellan) and 4 warglaves ready to play. Any suggestions on how to transport them? I would only be needing to carry them from my house to club in my car. Poking around online I have seen some foam options to purchase or tool boxes with metal for magnets. Think the Citadel Crusade Figure Case would fit?
Thanks!

I'd use any large toolbox or tacklebox and mount Velcro straps in the bottom. Place models in, throw straps over the bases, since it and you're done.

Battlefoam make a foam tray that's specifically designed to hold two Knights.

KR do a range of trays for different knights.
https://www.krmulticase.com/trayguide/IK
Their site can be a bit confusing if you haven’t used it before, Just bear in mind that the black outline shown on the photos is one ‘standard size’ case (and cases come in 1x 2x 0.5x standard etc) you should be ok. Also, ignore the tray price - trays are way cheaper when bought as part of the case.

Personally, I use battlefoam for my Knights, but it’s only due to my setup and might not work otherwise.
I have 3 standard Knights and 2 Helverins. You can get all 5 of those models into 1 of the large pluck foam trays (it helps that I can take the Knight arms, Helverin top weapons and Knight shoulder pads off though - https://uk.battlefoam.com/clearance-battle-foam-large-pluck-foam-tray-bfl-4-1/)
On top of that I have space for a standard Guard model tray and 2 foam divider layers, and then on top of that I still have space for my rulebook, Guard Codex, Knight Codex, CA, pack of FAQ docs, event doc, Knight datasheet cards and an A5 notebook. That all fits inside of the P.A.C.K 432 case.
Because of the space, you probably -should- be able to fit 2 4” pluck trays into the case which will easily hold 3 big Knights and 4 mini Knights. It might be a bit of a squeeze though, as the big Knight bases are a little over the 4” wide the trays go up to. I’ve not had any issues with damage or anything though.

Oh! I didn't think about Velcro! Automatically Appended Next Post: ArbitorIan wrote:KR do a range of trays for different knights.

Thanks, I was on their site and I didn't quite get what the black area around the foam in their pictures represented. Automatically Appended Next Post: Kdash wrote:Personally, I use battlefoam for my Knights, but it’s only due to my setup and might not work otherwise.

Oh, nice. Thanks for telling me what specifically you use for your setup. It gives me something to look at. I poked around Battlefoam and KR and wasn't sure what bag I should consider size-wise.

Those are 7inch pluck groan trays from battlefoam? I I’ve been wondering what to get from them because they don’t have a premise shape for a full knight on the custom trays.

I had the exact same issue - my list has 3 Knights and 4 Armigers and I struggled to find a way to transport them.
However I was lucky enough to get a free one of these:
https://www.tabletoptyrant.co.uk/tyrant-army-figure-case---standard-loadout
If you take the foam trays out and put a foam sheet on the bottom you can actually stand 3 Knights and 4 armigers upright in it (although I take the arms off the Knights).
I then place a foam tray in the top which fits the arms and everything fits perfectly.
I'll try to get some pics.

Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, if you have any pics to share that would be neat. I think I understand what you are saying but visuals always help.
