or upgrade to Investigator for $120 to add

and if you've got it all already

I was part of the first campaign and it was a good one with regular info from Dimension Games, and a decent product at the end of the day (mini quality is similar to recent CMON boardgames). It was delayed, but with most of the assets already done this should be a lot easier to estimate the timings right

BGG seems to like the game reasonably well too https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/202077/deep-madness

so if you fancy a lovecraft/body horror inspired fairly hard boardgame or just a pile of creepy monster minis this is well worth a look

Man, that $75 pledge is pretty tempting.

The $75 only includes the base game, it’s $120 for the game with original campaign stretchgoals ($110 24 hour early bird).

I didn't take part in the first KS, don't remember why...

So I'm in this time!

I have the results of the last chamber: You are a horrible person.

Just some pics of the hero minis would be cool

And if you’ve got time to do a size comparison Any human sized GW minis would be great. Or just tell me how big the base on the deep madness minis are and I’ll do the mini up to the screen strat.

Re light if you’ve got a Lidle near you their selling some great LED strip lights at the moment the “cool white” ones are great for mini pics.

I'd love to see scale and detail pics of the monsters, particularly the smaller ones.

Thanks!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I bought mine for the miniatures, I told myself I would give the game a go, but intended to salvage it for bits. You get a lot of $100, all good for SF miniatures, Call of cthulhu miniatures plus the odd monster for my wargaming armies.

By the time it arrived I had heard the rules were worth playing, when it arrived I found the production quality was excellent and I stopped all plans to salvage my copy.

This game is highly recommended, at least my me. The miniatures were good casts and good sculpts. I still want some more odd pieces.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

So far this KS has been pretty dull. But that is to be expected from a re-print KS.

There won't be many (any?) surprises in store, so I don't feel excited. I'm backing at all-in level and I can already see everything I'm getting.

I guess more info on the new expansion (and the next KS) is something I'm looking forward to reading about.

Right, here are the heroes and monsters from the basic pledge, against a genestealer cultist as a marker for 'human' and a Primeris for 'embiggened' GW stuff. I've tried to get their feet at roughly the same level.

the monsters will work fine, the heroes probably don't go well with GW heroic, but would work well enough with 32mm true scale stuff

Nice comparison pics.

Yeah, the heroic scale and true scale humans do not mix well. Altough the madness heroes look quite right alongside the marine!

But the monsters work well with the 40K stuff. Monsters are always mostly immune to the scale differences while the humans hit the uncanny valley right away if the scale is even a bit off...

This has been doing well, a number of stretch goals and social targets have been reached unlocking more scenarios, ebook/audio book etc

Every copy of The Faces of the Sphere expansion will now include 1 Ward Phillips visage miniature, 1 new visage card, 1 new consciousness card, and 1 new madness card.

amongst the stretch goals some have added to the only new expansion, Faces of the Sphere

it's a pretty good game, and the base pledge is worth looking at if you need 'gribblies' for your wargaming or RPGs even if you don't want the game so much (it's got tiles too)

not yet reached is a storage box solution which will be free shown above

there's also an even bigger paid for one that will hold all of the above & the minis too on the cards

Tempted to get the new stuff so put thie KS on 48hr notice but not sure or if that's just FOMO rearing it's ugly head.

Shame there's no option to just buy all the tiles...

The map tiles are kind of small though, not sure if they would be much use in anything else but this game. The map works fine for this game, but if you would have planned to use them in some kind of skirmish game, I'm not sure how useful they would have been.

I've played this game only once and it wasn't my copy, so this is just a casual observation.

It was a fun game though!

I did in the end as a returning backer, the empty box to put everything in was of all things what made me do it.

The Profundum box comes "free" for my All-In pledge, so I'll be getting it (it most likely raise the postage costs as it is a big box, so that's why I put the free in quotes...).

It should hold everything apart from the figures, so it's a nice bonus. I'll figure out the figure storage on my own as I won't be getting the Monstrum box (even bigger box to raise the postage even more... )

Anyway, I'm cool with the all-in + plastic tokens. I even happened to get the Drifter boss for free! (I was one of the 3 backers they decided to give it free, yay!)
