So the Emperor and Malcador collected Old Earth artifacts such as the Rosetta stone and the Mona Lisa. Does anyone know what others they collected and what books I can find them in?

Christie's, Sotheby's or Bonham's catalogues is where I'd start. Look for something vaguely mystical sounding and/or linked to classical or Renaissance periods and Robert's your father's brother.

the EMPEROR didn't collect them Just Malcador as far as we can tell.and the most clear example of this is in the audio book titled "the sigialite"

I don't think there is an Empie and Malcador: Treasue Hunter series yet. You could watch the TV series Bargain Hunt or Antiques Roadshow. As the Emperor is a perpetual like Oll Persson you might find that both have actually appeared on the show.

The idea was to collect and celebrate the artifacts that represent Mankind's entry into new fields of science and exploration, e.g. the first piece of pottery, the lunar rover etc. Where/how the mona lisa and Monet's paintings come under that is an exercise for the reader.

That's not the point he's making. The collection is something that was mentioned for no other reason than to make the reader go "ah, cool, the Mona Lisa still exists". It's not an important part of the fluff, it's not a primary motivating factor behind anything happening in the HH books and it doesn't have any deeper meaning. It's basic world-building stuff. What you're asking for is the equivalent of reading a Sherlock Holmes story where the great detective visits a grocer in the course of his investigation and then wanting to know more about the grocer. It's a minor, throwaway detail. It's not important. It has no real significance.

You know on Amazon.com, where users can ask a question about an item, and other users who have the item can answer it? And sometimes you see a question that someone answered with, "I don't know". And you wonder why someone would bother to submit an answer to just say they don't know. It seems so ridiculous.

But now I think, imagine how much more ridiculous it would be if they wrote a whole paragraph about how they didn't know the answer, and why the person asking the question shouldn't want to know either. Instead of just letting someone who does know answer the question.

Wel, it has some significance in that it tells you something about Malcador as character and his links to the past.

But yes, beyond that it's a wink to the audience, and there isn't going to be a further list, as what's given is enough to establish that tie. Further lists of items and exposition on it wouldn't deepen the character, just burn page count (or run time in the audio-only books)

you're assuming he collects stuff that massages his ego about what he's doing, that's not the case at all, his collection is simply an attempt to preserve relics of the past, it's basicly HIS intreast. (the emperor focuses on the future, he is more focused on the past apparently.) I imagine Malcador collects what he can FIND.

On topic Malcador also has a copy of Rogue Trader, but it is one of the reruns, not the original print.

I can't remember which book it is, but I believe he plays through the Battle for the Farm scenario with Valdor.

realisticly the emperor would totally be a templar.

The Templars mean well for humanity, but they think humanity has to be controlled. That is what the Emperor thinks. But he intends for humanity to psychically evolve.

That's a very good point. I often wonder about the general lack of common courtesy and friendliness that seems to pervade online, and wonder, how come I've never met that many rude people in one place in person? In all probability, these same people are all probably quite friendly and well mannered in person, but for whatever reason, the barrier that a keyboard and monitor puts between people seems to provide many of us with a license to abandon our common courtesy and say things in a way we wouldn't normally dare in person. I know I'm guilty of this myself and sincerely hope I can curtail this attitude from now on.
