I'm thinking about getting into Age of Sigmar and haven't had a chance to read up on the rules, yet. I'm planning to play a game or two with my friend so he can teach me. I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to use and the Deathmarch warscroll seems ideal, however I was also hoping to include a necromancer and zombies, is there a way I can do this to add to the deathmarch? Coming from 40k, I'm a little confused, is my force required to fit into warscrolls, like formations, or are these optional?

I'm also wondering how to equip/model the skeletons and grave guard. First, can their equipment be mixed in their units? Can I have 15 spears and 25 swords for the skeletons? What do people recommend for the grave guard?

Finally, what are the significant differences between the 4 allegiances?

Grand Host of Nagash
110 - Deathmarch
120 - Wight King - Black Axe, Lord of Nagashizzar, Grave-sand Timeglass
160 - 20 Skeleton Warriors - FC, Spears, Shields
160 - 20 Skeleton Warriors - FC, Spears, Shields
160 - 20 Skeleton Warriors - FC, Spears, Shields
160 - 10 Grave Guard - FC, Swords, Shields
120 - 5 Black Knights - FC

Don’t think you can mix weapons.

The alliances are...odd? Mostly just run Nagash unless you have a specific one you’re running for certain armies.
Deahmarch is just Nagash.

The battalion is actually 160 now.

I’d take some casters...necros and maybe vampires.

Take one 40man and two 10man Skellies.

Grave Guard need their great blades...no reason for more anvils. (Also look 1000x better)

This army is stupidly powerful...so feel free to buy lots of toys as you’ll probably want to depower your warhost in friendly games (in this case keep the skellies split into 20 blocks).

So it costs 160 points for the Deathmarch?

I was thinking about changing the list and not doing Deathmarch in 1,000 so I can have a Necromancer. Something like:

Wight King with Black Axe
Necromancer
40 Skeletons - FC, Spears, Shields
15 Grave Guard - Greatswords
5 Black Knights

I figure a Necromancer could be really useful and I don't see how I can fit a Necromancer with the Deathmarch until above 1,000 points. Thanks for the advice.
