I know what Juan Diaz Daemonettes are, but I've never heard of a Juan Diaz DP. Can you post a pic?
Is it the metal version just prior to the current plastic DP?

It appears to be the classic one that came out in third ed.

Ah, thanks. That's the one I was thinking of. Didn't know that one was also sculpted by Juan Diaz.

I converted my own out of the plastic kit as an homage to that classic one:

Those things are darn near impossible to find unpainted. I spent a few months trying to get one on eBay. When they're on there, they sell for $50+ regularly. I managed to get one that was missing the sword for much cheaper. (I wasn't gonna use the sword anyway)

Yeah the sword just kinda looks like a Librarian Power Sword.

Great job on the Daemon Prince.
The new one just look less intimidating, the face looks kinda goofy. I also like the warp bolter on its left arm.

Mine got chopped up; the head and hands were replaced with KoS stuff for a Slaanesh DP, and the sword went onto my homemade Be’Lakor. Who knows where the jump pack parts are. I didn’t even realize this thing was still popular. I’ll have to keep my eye out for them.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Why is it being painted a problem? It's made of metal- stick it in stripper and it's good as new.

I never noticed that. It's certainly a great sculpt. I hope you're able to find one.

Yeah, if you don't mind stripping it I have a painted one I could sell. PM me if you are interested, chimeara.

I have an old metal one of that. Unfortunately it was missing the head and sword arm so I had to replace them with ones from the plastic kit (plus some green stuff to actually make them fit together). I had no idea that was a Juan Diaz sculpt. I guess that's why it's so cool-looking!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

Just find one in metal with a terrible paintjob for cheap and dump it in Acetone.
This is what I have done with my old school Chaos Raptors and it works great.

Don't try it with the finecast version though.

The OP wanted unpainted, that why I mentioned it.

Pm the OP, I've already got one. Thanks for the offer anyway.

Didn't know that one was desirable. I picked mine up in the used section at my local game store along with 20 metal chaos termies for pretty cheap.

They were ugly painted, stripped and redid.

Pictures of old skool along side the new hotness. Word Bearer vs Tzeenchian goodness
